Last week, we shared what makes Canine Cabana different—from our experienced team to our individualized approach to play. But there’s even more to the story.
We believe dogs need more than a place to spend the day. They need opportunities to move, think, explore, socialize, and simply be themselves.
Because at Canine Cabana, doggie daycare is only the beginning of what your dog can experience with us.
Enrichment That Has a Purpose
For pups who thrive with more individualized interaction, our Enrichment Program takes daycare to another level.
During enrichment playtime, your dog gets dedicated time participating in our activity of the day—and we’re always coming up with something new!
They might cool off during Splash Pad Day, put their nose to work during a Duck Hunt, or test their skills at Carnival Day.
And yes, the photo opportunities are very cute.
But behind those adorable pictures is a purpose.
Our activities are designed to provide physical exercise, mental stimulation, sensory exploration, confidence building, and opportunities to use natural canine behaviors.
Because exercising a dog’s brain can be just as important as exercising their body.
We Even Built an Adventure Trail!
When you have more than three acres, you have to have a little fun with it!
We created our very own Adventure Trail, a nature-based experience featuring eight interactive stations for dogs to explore. Along the trail, pups can encounter weave poles, a scent garden, different terrain, and other challenges designed to get their bodies moving and their brains working.
It’s another way we’re able to use our property to create experiences that go beyond traditional daycare.
More Than Daycare
Our ultimate goal is simple:
We want Canine Cabana to feel like your dog’s second home away from home.
With expertise in daycare, lodging, training, grooming and bathing, we’re able to care for dogs through different stages and needs throughout their lives.
Whether your dog wants to play with furry friends, work their brain during enrichment, explore the Adventure Trail, learn new skills, enjoy a grooming appointment, or settle in for a comfortable stay while their family is away, we’re here for them.
Rooted in Our Community
Being a small, locally owned business also means the community around us matters.
We’re proud to be members of the Valrico/FishHawk Chamber of Commerce and love being involved with local schools, charities, organizations, and community events.
For us, being part of the community isn’t just about operating a business here. It’s about supporting the families, organizations, and causes that have supported us throughout the past 18 years.
18 Years—and We’re Still Learning
Maybe that’s one of the biggest things that makes Canine Cabana different.
After 18 years, we don’t believe we know everything.
We believe great pet care means continuing to learn.
Because you’re trusting us with someone incredibly important to your family, and we never take that responsibility lightly.
Our goal isn’t simply to give your dog somewhere to go while you’re away.
It’s to give them a place where they’re known, understood, engaged, cared for, and genuinely excited to come back to.
But you don’t have to take our word for it.
Just ask our clients or better yet, ask their dogs.
